HP RPN SCIENTIFIC PLUS
Very good modern calculator with most of the appeal of the old HP-15Cįor many years I greatly admired the classic HP-15C scientific calculator from the 80s and had wanted to buy one for some time.īut they were always too expensive when they came up for sale second hand, plus compared to modern calculators the originals are very slow and the display is quite limited. Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned

The HP35S is great so far so I am hoping it has the robustness of its predecessors.

I see a few other older HP models, but they command pretty high prices sometimes. I've never had any other HP RPN calculators except a 28c, which isn't any smaller than the 48. It has great functionality, a fine, high contrast screen, crisp keyboard and looks great. I've looked for a small and inexpensive RPN calculator and the HP35S, while not nearly as inexpensive as a lot of low end scientific calculators, is at least small and light.
HP RPN SCIENTIFIC SERIES
I have a couple HP48 series calculators and they are wonderful tools but they're big. I'm always having to either put partial results in some memory location or filling the screen with parentheses. After getting an HP calculator and becoming familiar with RPN, however, the others seem awkward to use, especially for anything even slightly complex. The cheap, but functional Casios and Sharps work fine and have all the power to perform what I need. Around 800 independent storage registers also let you store equations for later retrieval to use in HP Solve.įor years I used ALG calculators, and still do for simple tasks. If you make a mistake while entering data, the device contains edit, undo, and delete options that allow you to correct typos and produce accurate results every time. With a memory of 30 KB, this calculator is also designed for reliability during those heavy workloads. Boasting a complete library of conversions, along with 42 built-in physical constants, you can also simplify most physics problems. Its versatility, however, comes from 100 built-in functions, making calculating logarithms, inverse functions, and exponentials a simple task. Both reverse Polish notation and algebraic entry-system logic in this calculator provide the majority of its power and accuracy.
HP RPN SCIENTIFIC PROFESSIONAL

It also features the sloped-front keys for which HP calculators (although not the original HP-35) are well known.

Approximately 30 kilobytes of memory for programs and/or dataĪlthough the HP 35s has far more functions, processing power, and memory than the original HP-35 which it commemorates, Hewlett-Packard has attempted to give the HP 35s the look of the original HP-35 and other HP calculators of that era.Unit conversions and table of physical constants.Support for input and display of fractions.Numerical integration (also first seen on the HP-34C).Equation solver (a feature first seen on the HP-34C).Operation in decimal, binary, octal, hexadecimal. The HP 35s uses either Reverse Polish Notation (RPN) or Infix notation as input. The HP 35s features a two-line display, and the powerful HP Solve2 application. Switch between RPN1 and algebraic entry-system logic at any time.
